Playoff Seeding Procedure All teams make the playoffs.
Each team will receive a seeding in their conference based on their overall won-lost-tied percentages from the regular season.
TO BREAK A TIE WITHIN A CONFERENCE If, at the end of the regular season, two or more clubs in the same conference finish with identical won-lost-tied percentages, the following steps will be taken until a superior seed is determined. Here are the tie breaking procedures for seeding:
1. Head-to-head (best won-lost-tied percentage in games between the clubs). 2. Best points allowed average (forfeited games do not count in averages) 3. Best points Scored average. (forfeited games do not count in averages) 4. Coin Toss.
When 3 or more teams are tied in win-loss-tied percentages, the tie-breaking procedure will be applied until one team is determined superior. Then the remaining teams will revert to step 1 and start the tie-breaking procedure until another superior seed is determined, and will thereafter re-start at the top after each superior seed is determined.
NOTE: When calculating winning percentages, tie games count as one- half win for both clubs.
Round 1 playoff seeding will follow the tie-breakers above, however subsequent rounds will follow a standard bracketing system as indicated below:
